Earn your CAMT certification and gain the knowledge and skills needed to maintain a cost-effective maintenance program.
- Processing work orders correctly in a timely fashion, and to resident satisfaction
- Repair and replacement decisions
- Painting services
- Electrical, HVAC, construction, mechanical, appliance, lock, and key services and repairs
- Customer service and performing maintenance tasks according to company policy and procedures
- Minimizing personal and property damage while safely performing maintenance activities
- Fair Housing regulation compliance
- Environmental responsibility and regulatory compliance
- Reporting and documentation of maintenance activities in compliance with company policy and regulation
- Curb appeal, property inspection, and daily maintenance
- Established procedures for maintaining recreational facilities and common areas
- Implementation of a preventive maintenance schedule
- Professional behavior patterns, communication skills, and appearance
- Clear and respectful communication with residents, team members, and contractors.
Students MUST attend ALL four in-person sessions and pass the exam to obtain the Certified Maintenance Technician credential.
Requirements
To obtain the CAMT credential, candidates must complete the following:
- Minimum of 12 months of apartment or rental housing maintenance experience. (This can be obtained while taking the course, you will receive a provisional certificate until this requirement is met.)
- Successful completion of all CAMT coursework
- Pass the examination

Please note, there are four (4) sessions to the CAMT course.
When you register for the first of four sessions, you are automatically registered for all four CAMT Training Sessions. All sessions will run from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and the 2024 fall offering of CAMT will take place on the following dates:

It is important that students make plans to attend all four training days to adequately prepare for the exam.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations must be received by email to office@ccaafl.org at least five (5) business days prior to the event. Late cancellations and no-shows WILL be charged the full-invoiced amount.
