Event Details

This program is designed both as an introduction for new maintenance professionals and as a refresher for the veteran employee, to give these professionals the knowledge and tools necessary to run an effective maintenance program. Maintenance expenses are the single largest controllable element in any operating budget. The CAMT program is accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI), a private non-profit organization that administers and coordinates the U.S. voluntary standardization and conformity assessment system.
 

Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMT) includes:

The non-technical Soft Skill course consists of online learning, including practice scenarios.
Five technical courses consist of in-person classroom training.  The exam is an on-line exam and each attendee will schedule the date/time to take their exam.

Earn your CAM-T and advance your career in apartment maintenance! There are four in-person sessions--when you regsiter for the first of four in-person sessions, you are automatically registered for all four CAM-T Training Sessions.  You MUST attend ALL Four in-person sessions and pass the exam in order to recevie your CAMT certification.

Registration Fees: $699/Members (must be logged in to regsiter at the member rate); $799/Non-Member
Fee includes the CAMT Manual and Materials; registration for the on-line Soft Skills Courses; the CAMT on-line exam; and lunch and snacks.

Registration Deadline:  November 15, 2021.

Cancellations: Cancellations must be received by email to office@ccaafl.org at least five (5) business days prior to the event. Late cancellations and no-shows WILL be charged the full-invoiced amount.

The sessions  are being held from 8:00 am -- 5:00 pm, December 1, December 2, December 9 and December 10. The meeting will take place at the Paul Davis Restoration of Tallahassee Office  at 5278 Tower Road, Tallahassee, FL 32303.

CAMT Requirements

Certificate candidates must complete the following within 12 months of declaring candidacy for CAMT to receive the Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians credential:
  • one year of apartment or rental housing maintenance experience; and
  • six courses and online content listed above (which totals 80 hours)


REMEMBER! IT'S THE LAW!
Effective July 1, 2016, individuals performing water heater and AC repairs (NOT including replacement) where parts cost no more than $1,000 must hold the Certificate for Apartment Maintenance Technicians (CAMTs).

Attendee Agreement
Communicable diseases such as COVID-19 can be highly contagious viruses that pose inherent risks that cannot e fully eliminated regardless of care or precautions taken. As such, by participating in classes, meetings, or events hosted by CCAA in any facility you hereby assert you do so voluntarily and that by participating you knowingly assume any and all risks related to COVID-19 or other communicable diseases.

Because member and attendee safety is our top priority, we will be following CDC Guidlelines as well as the requirement of the facility, including: 

  • Social distancing
  • Contactless temperature check before entering meeting room
  • Plentiful sanitizer throughout space
  • Masks required while moving around
  • Disposable masks free of charge available to attendees
  • High touch surfaces sanitized frequently
  • Team members will wear masks and social distance from members and each other.
  • Other measures, as appropriate.

 As deemed necessary, additional requirements will be added. Such as: 

  • If you are sick, caring for an ill person, or may have recently been exposed to COVID-19 we ask that you stay home for self-quarantine. 
  • We will be conducting contactless temperature checks on everyone entering the venue.  Anyone found to have a fever will be unable to enter.
  • We will provide one-time use masks to attendees that do not arrive with their own.
  • Maintaining Social Distancing.
  • Wash your hands or use hand sanitizer often, especially after touching high traffic areas.
